Henry Henning just disappeard one night in 1941 or 1942. One story was he was playing cards with a neighbor that lived about 3/4 mile from his home in Knappa.

Henry had a big rowl with the neighbor and left for home. He never made it. The neighbor ran his tractor plowing his field until wee hours of the morning. Some suspect that the neighbor killed Henry and buried him in his field. The authorities probed the field, but never found him.

A second story told was that he had been drinking that night and when he left the neighbors home he wandered along the river on his way home and
fell in and was washed away. His body was never found.

Another story was he just walked away and began a new life without Paurlee.

In the 1880 Census it says his Father's name is Fredrick Henning - 49. His mother's name is Lewene - 44. Sisters - Mary A. 19, Susie, 18 and Hattie 13. His Brother, George F. was 16 in 1880.
