Mary Serena Johnson was the daughter of John Lester and Rose (Dick) Johnson. She had a sister named Blanche (Johnson) Packard, and brothers named Joseph, Earl, and Leo Johnson. Another brother Norbert predeceased her. Mary had very long hair when she was young (she would wrap it around and around on a bun on top of her head) and when she got older she started having times when she would just pass out. When she went to the doctor they told her that her hair was taking all the protein out of her body, so they told her to cut her hair.. so she did and never passed out after that. She married a very handsome man; who the ladies all liked to look at. Mary was very jealous of that; but she was quite a beautiful woman too.. She told people that she would have never married him if she had known that he was younger than her, but he fibbed to her; so she wouldn't break up with him. Mary was very strict Catholic and was in church everyday to pray. She was diabetic and passed away from atherosclerosis..
