Mr. Norbert Doc "Nob" Blades, son of Mr. James and Carrie Blades, was born January 2, 1915, in Lequire, Oklahoma and died on March 24, 1992, in Wapanucka , Okla. He was 77 years, 2 month, and 22 days of age at the time of his death.
Nob married Lorene White on March 17, 1937, in Poteau, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy during World War 11.
Before retirement, Nob worked in a saw mill and then as a resort operator.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene of the home. Four sons: Jimmy Blades of Desoto, Texas, Ray Blades of Marietta, Oklahoma; Bobby Blades and Don Blades both of Durant, OK. Four daughters; Marie Martin of Ardmore, Oklahomaa; Sue Bolin of Atoka, OK; Juna Russell of Milburn, OK; and Janie Davidson of Tishomingo, OK. Four sisters Jewel Kite of Taos, N.M.; Helen Hutson of Peralta, N.M.; Louise Phipps of Clovis, N.M. and Peggy Henbest of Rio Rancho, N.M. Twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one grandson and one-great grandson.
