Edward J. Anderson served as a Private in Battery A, 76th Field Artillery, United States Army during World War I. He was sprayed with mustard gas during the war, so he fought with lung issues for most of his life.

He was originally from the State of Massachusetts.


Edward J Anderson lost his first wife, Theresa, after the birth of their second son, Richard Anderson in 1923.

He later married Margaret C. and they had a daughter also named Margaret.
