EVARISTO ARMIJO Mr. Evaristo Armijo passed away on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 90. He was born in La Pasada, NM, to Placido and Juanita Armijo. He is survived by his loving wife, Magdalena of 69 years of marriage; one brother, Navarez Armijo and wife Susie. He was blessed with 11 children: Cristoval, Martha, Jane (Ray), Cleo (Lillian), Rosanna, Isidro (Christina), Vickey (Martin), Dolores (Manuel), Ruben (Tammy), Rudy (Rosana), Ron; 29 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Those preceding Mr. Armijo in death were his parents; brothers: Juan and wife Antonia, Alfredo and wife Lorenza, and Apolinar; sisters: Rosalia and husband Telefor, Elsie and husband Genovevo Ortiz, Bernardina and husband Frank Ortiz, and Cleofas. Mr. Armijo was known to be one of the hardest workers in farming and underground mining. He was an expert fisherman and hunter. A Visitation will be held Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 4 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 28, 2008, at 9 a.m. Both will be held at St. Anthony's Parish in Pecos. Burial will follow at El Macho Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be: his sons and sons-in-law, Ray and Martin.
