Andrew Clark Ale, husband of Martha, was a retired farmer residing on route 4 in Marion Township, Jasper County, Missouri.

CLARK ALE IS DEAD AT 79
HEART ATTACK EARLY TODAY FATAL TO PROMINENT CITIZEN

Retired Farmer Had Lived Here 57 Years; Served as Member of County Court in 1917-18


Andrew Clark Ale, 79, prominent retired farmer, former judge of the county court and resident of Jasper county 57 years, died suddenly early this morning at his home at Morgan Heights. Mr. Ale suffered a heart attack shortly after midnight and passed away at 3:15 o'clock.
Mr. Ale was born November 27, 1855 at Bloomsburg, PA., where he grew up. He was educated in the public schools and at Dickinson Seminary at Williamsport, PA.
With his parents, Samuel and Margaret Ale, he came to Jasper county in 1878. Four years later, on October 24, 1882 he was married to Miss Martha Post, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam C. Post, prominent Jasper county citizens. Mrs. Ale passed away March 17, 1932.
During the years 1917 and 1918 Mr. Ale served as a judge of the county court. He as identified with the Democratic party. He was a member of the First Methodist church.
Surviving are three daughter, Mrs. V. R. Willey and Mrs. C. W. Knight of Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. W. T. Hackett, at home; a brother, J. William Ale, of Carthage route 4 and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Ale, at home.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival from California of Mrs. Willey and Mrs. Knight
