Richard Lynn Ainsworth, 78, went home to be with the Lord September 5, 2008 at his residence in Trenton. He was born in Boonville, NY, September 21, 1929 the son of Millard F. and Alice (Williams) Ainsworth. Lynn retired from General Tire as a supervisor. He was a fanatic Chicago Bear and NY Yankee fan. He enjoyed wood carving, chess and was an avid reader. Lynn was a member of the National Chess Federation and Southwest Harbor Congregational Church. Lynn is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn of Trenton; sons, Robert and wife Alice of VA, Barry and wife Peggy, Rick and wife Sue, John and wife Jill all of NC; six grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Muriel Cittadino, of NY; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Southwest Harbor Congregational Church, 29 High Road, Southwest Harbor with Pastor Blake Brown officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Charlotte NC.
