Thomas R. was the sixth out of nine children born to Walter Neff Bolsinger and Mary M. Brown.(See parent's link). His gravestone lies next to his wife, Elizabeth S. (Shoemaker) Balsinger, who was a year younger. Thomas had diptheria as a child. Later in life he worked for the H. J. Heinz Company in Pittsburgh. Thomas a golfer for fifty years got a hole-in-one on the 165 yard, No. 2 hole at the Ebensburg Golf Club in 1972. There is a gravestone for a Carole Balsinger (1940-1951) who was of an age that might be their daughter, but that is speculation.
