Isaac was the son of Roma Perry Broshears and Mary Abshear. The family resided in Warrick County, and included siblings Ephraim, Lucy, Sarah E. William A, Juda, Nancy M, and Coy C.
Isaac married Hannah Rena Voyles on March 19, 1882. To this union were born daughters Effie May and Ella Selma; and sons Sylvester and Joseph William. A fifth child is believed to have died in infancy.
Isaac died at the Newburgh home of his daughter, Ella Broshears Palmer. His wife, and daughter Effie May preceeded him in death.
His original burial place was noted as Newburgh Cemetery, AKA Myrtle Ridge Cemetery. His grave was moved to Rose Hill, along with many others, possibly due to issues caused by underground mines around the site.
Isaac's daughter Effie May was my paternal great-grandmother.
