Roy was born on Aug 1,1911 in Crawford County, Wisconsin to John Thomas David (Mabel Fish) Nicholson.
Roy married Delma Alvina Olson on 18 Oct 1933 in the Five Points Lutheran Church. They had 5 children (see Delma's obit)
Roy and Delma purchased the Leren Barnes farm and later operated the Gas Station at the intersection of STH 171 and USH 14 from 1937-1949. From 1949-1960 they farmed next to the Gas Station. From 1960- ? The farmed the Bailey Farm on the north side of STH 171 and later built a house across from this farm.
Roy Nicholson, 79, of Richland Center, died on Friday, Jan 25, 1991 at the Richland Hospital. He was a member of the Boaz School Board and Boaz Lions Club; Mill Creek Watershed, Richland County Board, and a member of the Five Points Lutheran Church. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 11:00 am at the Five Points Lutheran Church.
Rev. Oliver Vick officiated with burial at the Five Points Cemetery. Pratt Memorial Chapel was in Charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Bradley Bruckner, Harold Fish, Jr., Alan Halink, Melvin Harper, Dennis Jacobson, Richard Olson. Honorary Pallbeareres: Marvin Dosch, Melvin Jacobson, Orville Jacobson, Kenneth Kypke, Milan Olson, Orion Olson.
