NEWFIELD MAN, 70, DROWNS

A 70 year old Newfield man drown after a boating accident here Wednesday. Dead is Ernest D. Howell of RD Newfield. His body was not recovered until noon Friday. Mr. Howell was born in Barton, NY the son of the late Clarence and Mary Louella Summerton Howell. He was employed as a meat cutter at the Co=Op Food Store until his retirement in 1965. Mr. Howell is survived by his wife Helen Tennison Howell of Newfield; a son, Arthur F. Howell of Sunnyvale California; a stepson William Boyce of Enfield Center; two brothers, Raymond Howell of Pulaski, and Ronald Howell of Whittier, California; two sisters, Norma Allen of Waverly, and Erma Voorhees of North Syracuse; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday July 14, 1969 at Bangs Funeral Home, the Rev. David M. Evans of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
