Elbert's grave is located in Row 3 of this cemetery, which is at the back side. His grave is marked with a handcarved fieldstone with the initals "E. R. B." carved on them. His grave is between the graves of, C. M. Moody; Mollie Moody; and Infant Moody (on one side) and on the other side of him are graves of General Grant Gregory; Martha J. Gregory; and Carroll W. Anderson.

Elbert's death is recorded in the records of Moody Brothers' Undertakers at St. Paul, as the result of a gunshot (information shows it was suicide due to ill health). His casket was purchased by Elmer Floyd of St. Paul. The Burial Permit from the Moody Brothers Undertakers, states that he was age 66 years 4 months 20 days old, died on 3 February 1935; cause of death was gunshot, and that he was buried in St. Paul Cemetery (which is another name for Riverside Cemetery).
