In regards to his date of birth: It is documented in his World War I Draft Registration Card, by his own hand, that his date of birth was in fact August 30 th 1879.

Henry W. Foster died at his residence, 395 Woolfolk Street, at 8:25 p.m. Monday after and illness of six months.
Mr. Foster, a retired furniture repairman, was born in Washington County, son of Walter Foster and Mrs Rowena Beens (Binns) Foster, and had lived in Macon most of his life. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Annie Pearl Mansfield of Macon; two sons, Manuel and Samuel J. Foster both of Macon; five daughters, Mrs Mary Clements, Mrs. C. A. Blair, Miss Marion Foster and Mrs W. D. Bennett, all of Macon, and Mrs. Ruth Cheatham of Detroit; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in Christ Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Lewis F. Schenck will officiate.
Hart's Mortuary had charge of funeral arrangements.

Henry W. Foster
Funeral services for Henry W. Foster, who died at his residence, 395 Woolfolk Street, Monday evening, were held in Christ Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. today. The Rev. Lewis F. Schenck officiated and burial was in Macon Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were L. B. Robinson, C. J. Johnson, James Tapley, S. E. Busbee, M. V. Blair and Jule Blair.
