Accident Injuries Prove Fatal
William H. Barnes of New Marlboro Hurt a Week Ago
Great Barrington-William H. Barnes, 53, who was injured in an automobile accident in New Marlboro several days ago, died lastnight at Fairview Hospital. He was born in West Granville son of Henry A. and Annie Green Barnes. He was employed at a lumber camp in New Marlboro and was one of four passengers in the automobile that struck a tree on the Sandisfield Road. Joseph Ross, the operator of the car, less seriously injuried than Mr. Barnes, was fined in District Court yesterday on charges arising from the accident.
The body of Mr. Barnes was taken to Westfield today where the funeral will be held Sunday. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in that town. Among the survivors is Clarence E. Barnes, a brother of Westfield.
