Mrs. Beasley, a native of Nashville, was born December 3, 1918, the daughter of the late Charles Abraham and Sarah Josephine Jolly Hite.

The love of her life, Lt. Jesse Beasley, U.S. Navy, was a cold war casualty of the Korean conflict on January 4, 1954. They had married on June 24, 1944. She was also preceded in death on November 24, 1932 by her only brother, Granville Shannon Hite.

Mrs. Beasley was an Army Nurses Corp. veteran of World War II, stationed at Camp McPherson, Georgia.

She was a 1938 graduate of David Lipscomb High School and received her R. N. degree in nursing in 1941 from the St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Beasley worked as a Registered Nurse at Smith County Memorial Hospital from January of 1965 until her retirement on July 31, 1980. In January of 1967, the then Smith County Hospital established a school through the Vo-Tech Center to train Licensed Practical Nurses in Smith County. Mrs. Beasley was assigned as the instructor for the first class of fourteen students, and they graduated in the spring of 1968.

Mrs. Beasley was a member of the Hartsville First Baptist Church.
