Last Saturday John Carter, an old and respected of Tomales, died at the German hospital in San Francisco. He had been ill for some time past and several weeks ago went to the institution on the advice of his physician. The funeral which was largely attended was held at the family residence in Tomales on Monday at 1 o'clock.
Deceased was an old resident of Tomales. For years he owned and conducted a large ranch. Several years ago he sold this property and lived in the town where he had a host of friends. His wife and a sister, Supervisor Goudy’s wife survive him. Deceased was 64 years of age and a native of County Sligo, Ireland.
