J. T. Aldridge Succumbs to Long Illness
John Tomas Aldridge, 62, Greenwood, died yesterday in a local hospital, after a long illness.
He was born in Arcadia, and he had lived in Summer Grove before moving to Greenwood. He is a World War I veteran and was a retired mechanic.
He is survived by his widow; four sons, Thurmond, Greenwood, Robert Randell, Don Hayden, all of Greenwood and Robert, serving with the armed forces in Korea; five daughters, Mrs. Vinnie Faye Vauchanon, Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Joynell Baker, Waskom, Texas, Ruth Ann, Greenwood, and Mrs. Opal Prudhomme, Summer Grove, and Margaret Aldridge, Port Arthur, Texas; mother, Mrs. Edna Aldridge, Shreveport; one brother, Walter Aldridge, Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Lona Straughn, Shreveport; Mrs. Annie Grizzle, Shreveport, Mrs. K. L. McCullin, Shreveport, and a number of nieces and nephews.
