The son of Humphrey and Katherine (Roberts) Deeble, Richard was christened in Quethiock, Cornwall on Christmas 1637. His father died when he was only 2, but he was able to acquire a lease to Smaly's tenement in Trehunist in the parish of Quethiock at a young age. He married his wife Elizabeth Leane on February 3, 1669 and raised a family there, having the children: Katherine (died young), Elizabeth, Richard (died young), John, Christian (died young), and Katherine. He died in 1682, less than a year after the surviving Katherine had been born. He was buried at the Quethiock parish churchyard on December 19, 1682.
