Boone, Iowa: Randall Eugene Hansen, 39, died Sunday, August 20, 2006.

He was born July 19, 1967, at Alliance, Nebraska, to James and Sharon (Piihl) Hansen.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1989 and was recalled for active duty during the Gulf War in 1990.

On March 8, 1998, he married InSun Colerick at Ames, Iowa.

Randy worked as a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for the past 8 years.

Randy's hobbies included working on small engines, spending time doing outdoor activities, and being with his daughter.

His survivors are his wife, InSun: and daughter Danielle of Boone, Iowa.

He also is survived by his parents, Jim and Sharon Hansen of Alliance; brother Rod (Jody) Hansen of Littleton, Colorado; brother Roger (Karna) Hansen of Alliance; sister Rhonda (Brandy) Bellisle of Alliance; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Piihl; grandmothers, Lila Piihl and Berniece Hansen, cousins Kory and Kent Piihl, and friends Billy Alvarado and Troy Hunter.

Memorial services will be at 2 P.M. Friday, August 25, 2006, at the Bates-Gould Chapel, with Greg Carter officiating.
