Obituary for Roy Wika---
Services for Roy Wika, 72, a former resident of Clark, were held Tuesday of this week at Mesa, AZ. Mr Wika suffered a stroke nine years ago. On January 6th he entered the Mesa Hospital and passed away Saturday.
Mr. Wika was born November 5,1906 in Garfield Township, and was raised and educated in this community. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Severt Wka. He was confirmed and baptized in the Clark Center Church.
Mr. Wika was married to Esther Roberdeau. He was employed by both the Anderson Garage and Christenson Garage at Clark, and later served eight years as Clark County Auditor.
Mr Wika was employed by Cave Supply Co. in Watertown for a number of years. He later formed a partnership with Frank Bard and they owned and operated the Bard and Wika Auto Supplies Parts firm at Watertown. The Wikas retired and moved to Mesa, AZ in 1968.
Survivors are his wife, Esther; a son, Donald of Seattle, W; a daughter, Barbara of Mesa, AZ, grandchildren, a brother and sister, Nels Wika and Sarah Wika of clark; and many nephews and nieces.
Roy owned an automotive parts business in Watertown "Bard & Wika" for many years. Upon retirement they moved to Phoenix, AZ. They had only been there a short time when Roy suffered a stroke and within the year he had suffered another stroke which left him unable to talk. He remained unable to talk for the remaining 9 years of his life. Esther cared for him for many years after his stroke.
