We know he is not the son of Frederick Cox. We suspect he is the son of Samuel Cox born 1723 - 1725? In New Jersey. We know for certain that he is a grandson of John Cox - Mary (Taylor) N. J. & have Y-DNA confirmation that he is the great grandson of Phillip Cox & Dorcas Hull. And there are several more children: Nancy, Winaford T., Narcissa, Elizabeth, & Sarah C. We have no idea who his mother may be at this point.
