Mrs. Almanza Bishop Berry passed away to her eternal home Thursday night, February 11th in the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. J. Millis who resides near Mendenhall.

Mrs. Berry was born March 23, 1854, age 89 years. She accepted Christ early in life and lived a Christian life. She was married to Franklin Pierce Berry November 28, 1872. Her husband preceded her in death 33 years ago. To this union were born ten children, eight of whom are living; 49 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.

Those children left to mourn her death are Mrs. J. D. Thurman of Newhebron, Mrs. D. M. Smith of Prentiss, Mrs. A. L Gardner, Crystal Springs, T. E. Berry, Mendenhall, A. B. Berry, Gulfport, C. B. Berry, Biloxi, Mrs. F. W. Myers, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mrs. G. J. Millis, Mendenhall; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Rev. C. C. Jones of Mendenhall and Rev. B. E. Phillips of Newhebron conducted the funeral services with Mr. Vernon May leading the choir and Mrs. Elma Walker at the piano.

Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with the following grandsons servings as active pallbearers, D. Smith, Archie Smith, Franklin Millis, Burnell Millis, Nevin Thurman, Henry Thurman. Honorary pallbearers, Neil McNeill, Mr. Norris, W. McLendon, Shelby Robinson, A. Craft, Mr. Funchess A. McLendon, Marvin May, Carl Pittman, Garfield May, Walter Jones, A. Craft, Jr., Arthur Blair, Lawrence Gardner.
