"Harry Hobbs of Sterling Dies at 77
DIXON - Harry Hobbs, 77, 1106 9th ave., Sterling, died early Wednesday afternoon in Community General hospital, Sterling.
He was born in Palmyra township, Lee county, and was a retired employee of the Borden Milk Co. plant in Dixon. Mr. Hobbs was a member of Palmyra, Lee County Ponoma, state and national grange organizations.
Surviving besides the widow are three sons, Frank, Wilburn and George, all of Dixon; a brother, Fred, Dixon; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel Hill funeral home, Dixon. The Rev. James D. McKelvey, pastor of the First Methodisy church, Sterling, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon. Friends may call in the funeral home after 7 o'clock Thursday night."
