This is the son of William and catherine Gee. His brother's and sisters are: Cornelius, William Jr, Sarah, John, Nathanle, Andrew and Derosel.

The following information was received from James Gunn: Joseph married Rachel (?) about 1753. They had a son named Rosswell Gee (1773-1810), he was named after his Uncle Derosel Gee. In the 1810 census he was residing next to his father, Joseph in Schuyler with a wife and 6 sons all under the age of 16.

The following information was received from Judy Burdette: There are so much erroneous information on this memorial bio that I scarcely know where to begin in an attempt to correct same. 1st, the Joseph living in Schulyler, Herkimer, NY surname was GAY not Gee in 1810 and in 1800, he was also a GAY. Joseph's father died in 1772 so he could scarcely be living beside his son in 1810 regardless of the county. This Joseph died in Colchester, Delaware County, New York and he had NO son named Rosswell! He was married twice, his first wife died about 1765 leaving him with 3 young children. He then moved close to his parents (Ulster County) and married Mary Turner in about 1767. He and Mary had either 10 or 11 children.
