Birth: Oct. 1, 1900
Death: Jul. 11, 1971

Carl was a plumber by trade. He was a jolly man who loved baseball, keeping up with the local Amarillo Gold Sox and passionate about Major League Baseball as well. He used to pass on to me his older Sporting News Baseball Guides and Registers. Although he and Hattie never had children, their home was always open to their many nieces and nephews. They travelled with us a couple of years to the Whitwell family reunion in Vernon, Texas. Carl was a real competator in "washers", a game similar to horseshoes, but played with 2" washers. I was always facinated by the fact that he fought in the World War...not WWII, but the first World War. Violence never seemed a part of his nature; above all, he was a good, kind man.

Carl's brother:
Beckwith, Roy C (1894-1963)
Family links:
Laura P. Beckwith (1873 - 1947)
  Hattie M. Beckwith (1908 - 1972)
