Jean was the daughter of Julia Colvart Black and Thomas Black Sr. She was saved at the age of 16 at the Slagle Missionary Baptist Church. Jean married Delbert Billingsley on March 16, 1946.
They had three children, Brenda, Debbie and Delbert Jr.
Jean worked as a CNA at Dimmitt Hospital, Big Spring Care Center and Northwood Hills Health Care Center until she was 70.
She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist church. She and Delbert Loved going to church.
Jean is survived by her children and their spouses, 8 grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dora Simons and a brother, Charles Black.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Thomas Green, husband Delbert; sisters, Winnie, Dorothy and Gladys, and brothers; Willard, Thomas and Leonard.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. August 19, 2009, in Salem Cemetery at Cliquot.
