Obituary, Corvallis Gazette Times March 18, 1976
"Lee - Loyd E. Lee, 66, a resident of Philomath and the Oakville area for 59 years, died Wednesday morning in Good Samaritan Hospital.
For the past 12 years Mr. Lee was in charge of the reconditioning department of Bill Johnson Volkswagen and Mazda. He recently had retired.
The son of Richard F. and Florence Crabtree Lee, he was born Jan. 26, 1910, in Ursa, Ill. When he was seven years old his family moved to Philomath where he was reared.
On Apil 29, 1934, he was married to Edith M. Lord in Scio and the couple moved to the Corvallis area.
Besides his widow, Edith, Mr. Lee is survived by a son, Loyd H. of Kodiak, Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Royal of Wade, N.C. and Mrs Jo Brooks of Albany; four brothers, Ray of Pendleton, Floyd, Paul and Robert of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Watkins of Monroe and Mrs. Ruby Kohler of Corvallis, eight grandchildren and on great-grandchild.
The services will be graveside in the Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. Saturday with the McHenry Funeral Hom in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorials to Mr. Lee in the Oregon Heart Association. These may be sent to the McHenry Funeral Home, 206 NW 5th St."
