Russell W. Hilbish, 64, former assistant treasurer of Akron Savings and Loan Assn., died Sunday at Akron City Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Hilbish, of 1541 Eighth St., was with the firm 35 years before his retirement in 1959. He was a graduate of the University of Akron and a memeber of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was also a memeber of Grace United Church of Christ. A life-long resident of the Akron area, Mr. Hilbish was born in the house now occupied by the Long-Scovell Funeral Hom, which is arranging services. [John B. Woods home, corner of East Market & N. Union] He leaves his wife, Mabel G.; sons, John A. of Columbus, and Russell W. Jr., of Euclid; five grandchildren, and a brother, Willard A. of Silver Lake. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul B. Klewit officiating. Burial will be in Glandale Cemetery. Friends may call at thte funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 adn 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests remembrances be made to the Memorial Fund of Grace United Church of Christ.
