Junction City -the funeral will be held April 18 for Edith Wilma Angleton of Junction City, OR, who died April 12 of age related causes. she was 82.
Angleton was born January 6, 1921, in Sheridian Wyoming, to William and Nancy Myrtle (Falls) Sieweke. She was the third child born to them. She married Garland Robert Angleton at the Foursuare Church in Fullerton, Calilfornia on August 22, 1941. He died August 20, 2002.
Her older brother died at the age of 2 and she has two sisters; Wyoma Grace Griset, 3 years older and Icyle May Hunt, 3 years younger. They have passed since her death. All the girls attended sewing class as they were growing up besides their mother also taught them to sew.
Edith attended Santa Ana, CA Schools all through her school years and graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1939. She also attended Community College for one year. She was especially interested in Chemistry. Her parents bought a dairy farm in the late 1930's in Eugene, OR. They owned 100 acres on Royal Ave, which at that time was named Route 5. He milked cows, grew wheat and raised chickens.
Garland worked jobs in many areas of CA and OR and she moved the family with him most of the time. Just some of the places they lived were: Fullerton-CA, Tanget-OR, Myrtle Creek-OR, Garberville-CA, Eugene-OR. For many years they lived next door to her parents, on Royal Ave, while raising their five children. All of which were born in Eugene except for their first child Bill who was born in Fullerton, CA.
