Mrs. Brandy Michelle Acheson, 38, of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life suddenly on Saturday morning, December 22, 2012 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while on her way to work.
Brandy entered this life on March 28, 1974 in Aurora, Missouri to the union of Sandy and Shelly (Gardner) Jones. She was raised in Marionville, Missouri and was a 1992 graduate of Marionville High School. On June 10, 2000 she was united in marriage to James M. "Jim" Acheson and to this union they were blessed with two sons. She was employed for the last nineteen years by Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri where she was assistant supervisor of the dietary division of the hospital. She had served on the Sarcoxie Park Board and attended worship services at Center Point Church in Carthage, Missouri. She enjoyed playing softball, dominoes, reading, photography and attending sporting events with her husband and sons. Brandy's first love was just being a wife and wonderful mom.
Brandy is survived by her husband, Jim Acheson of the home; her two sons, Hunter and Drake Acheson both of the home; her parents, Sandy and Shelly Jones of Verona, Missouri; two sisters, Shelby Hicks and husband, Rusty and Stacy Pruett all of Marionville, Missouri; seven nieces and nephews, Shalyn Milford and husband, Josh, Wyatt Hicks, Logan Hicks, Garrett Pruett, Whitney Pruett, Alexx Acheson and Trystann Acheson; as well as a host of other family and countless friends.
Funeral services for Brandy are 9:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Bob Teegarden officiating. Burial will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are J.R. Gardner, Jeremy Gardner, Wyatt Hicks, Dalton Loane, Alexx Acheson, Ryan Acheson, Garrett Pruett and Josh Milford with special honorary pallbearer, Shane Harrison. The Sarcoxie Fire Department Firefighters will also be serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to her two sons' educational fund and contributions may be left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Housh-Goodwin Funeral home in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
