GREENSBORO, NC — Mrs. Helen Warner Allgood, 81, died on Friday, February 26, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Monday, March 1, 2010, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel. Interment followed at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Stokes County, to the late William "Fletch" Warner and Nonnie James Warner, Helen was a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church.
She retired from A T & T, previously known as Western Electric.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Warner.
Surviving include her husband of 63 years, Carney W. Allgood Sr of the home (now deceased as of March 11, 2010); children, Geraldine Harrell (Charles) of Charlotte, Carney W. "Butch" Allgood Jr., of Greensboro, and Yvonne Allgood of Charlotte; and grandson, David Ross.
