Charlotte M. Baker, 87, of rural Dixon, died at 2:05 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012, in St. Bernard's Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Born October 22, 1924, at St. Louis, a daughter of Merritt and Anthonette (Deposha) Reid.
Married April 4, 1945, in Cuba, to Glen Baker.
She was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna, the Ladies Auxiliary of Argyle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8045 and Lischwe-Brandel American Legion Post 354, Brinktown, and was a housewife and homemaker for all her life.
Survivors: One son, Glen Mark Baker, Frankston, Australia; Three daughters and four sons-in-law: Mary Louise and Patrick Savage, Jonesboro, Arkansas; Karen Rene and Jesus Vallejo, Houston, Texas; Charlotte Anne and Louis Weinert, Montara, California; Anthony Vrana, rural Dixon; 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 22, 2012, in the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna. Interment will be at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba.
Visitation 5 – 7 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2012 in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with a Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Service at 7 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service. Visitation will also be from 9 – 10 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012 in the Church.
Masses are preferred by the family with envelopes available at the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
