The following was found in the Hopkinsville Kentuckian (Hopkinsville, KY) dated 26 Jan 1918 by Rebecca Sheehan-Plotkin.
I found a tiny mention of the passing of Hazzard Baker in the Hopkinsville Kentuckian (Hopkinsville, KY) of 1/26/1918. Mr. Baker is historically significant as he was a body guard for Jefferson Davis at the end of the Civil War. I transcribed the small item, and included a link to the source.

Lieut. Hazard [sic] P. Baker died at his home near Canton a week ago, aged 83 years, says the Record.
He was with Jefferson Davis when he was arrested by Union soldiers at Washington, Ga. Of the escort of ten men, only one Harvy C. Saunders of New Boston, Tex., is the only survivor. Five of them were from Trigg county, two from McCracken and one from Lyon.
