OLD RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

M. W. Mansfield Died Sunday Morning at 1:30 O'Clock at the Family Home on Ohio Street.

CAME TO THIS COUNTY IN 1871.

Funeral Held This Afternoon With Interment in Graceland Cemetery.

All that was mortal of Moses Warren Mansfield was laid to rest this afternoon in Graceland cemetery in this city. Mr. Mansfield passed away on Sunday morning at 1:30 o'clock after three weeks of indescribable suffering after almost a year of declining health caused by stomach trouble. Several months ago he was taken to Rochester, Minn., where the famous Mayo brothers were consulted in regard to his condition, but nothing afforded permanent relief.

Mr. Mansfield was born in Waynesburg, Carl county, Ohio, April 4, 1842, and was married to Margaret A. Moses in the same town on Nov. 17, 1864. They removed to Hamilton county in March, 1871, living upon a farm north of this city until in 1873, when they bought the place upon Ohio street where they have since resided.

Upon Nov. 17, 1914, at their home on Ohio street, was celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, relatives, friends and neighbors joining in making the event one of great pleasure for all present.

No children were born to this union and the sorrowing wife, who has been by the bedside of her husband during his last illness with untiring devotion, alone is left without the companion by whose side she has walked for so many years. There are also left three brothers and one sister of the deceased, the sister living in Salt Lake City, two brothers in Ohio and one in Laramie, Wyo., Oliver Mansfield, who arrived in this city Wednesday and was present at the time of his brother's death.

Mr. Mansfield leaves also a large number of old friends who will mourn his death with sincerity, remembering him as a kind neighbor, upright citizen and true friend.

The last services were held this afternoon at the family home on Ohio street at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. H. Kamphoefner, pastor of the Methodist church.
