"Claude Clifford Allen, 80, Malad, died Sunday at the Caribou Memorial Nursing Home in Soda Springs after a short illness. He was born July 28, 1899, at McCammon to George David [Davids] and Louisa (Brower) Allen. He grew up and attended school in McCammon and Pocatello. For a short time after graduation he worked for McCam Funeral Home in Pocatello. He married Helen Harrison on Oct. 10, 1935, at Ogden, Utah.

He worked in Custom meat cutting and processing most of his life and had owned processing businesses in Malad and Tremonton. He worked in Twin Falls at the sugar plant for nine years until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Caribou Memorial Nursing Home, Soda Springs; and two brothers, Jack Allen, Hagerman, and Gail Allen, Santa Maria, Calif.

Funeral services will be Wednesday noon at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. and Wednesday before services. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery.
