Verna Leontine Brewer was born in Clarksville, Texas on July 23, 1890. She is the daughter of James Greenleaf Brewer and Elizabeth Jennie Averitt Brewer. She comes from along line of Brewers going back to middle-age Norman nobility. She grew up in Clarksville and went to college at Southwest State Teachers College (Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas. She met John O. Robinett around 1910 perhaps in Clarksville, Texas when he worked there and they married and moved to Huntsville, then to Houston on La Branch St. to raise a family. They had two daughters Vera Elizabeth and Verna Louise and one son John Henry. She died on January 28, 1961 in Houston Texas. She and John are buried with their daughter Vera in Forestpark Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
