WAYNE STATON

OBITUARY

WAYNE STATON quietly slipped away into his eternal rest on Sunday, October 6, 2013 after a brief illness at the age of forty-seven.

WAYNE attended Alexander Street Elementary School and Westside High School in the Newark Public School System and went on to serve our country in the United States Army. WAYNE worked for Cash4Games downtown Newark, New Jersey for the past eighteen years. He was a loyal and dedicated employee. WAYNE was a very private man who loved providing for his family and children. WAYNE enjoyed working with all the latest electronics, games and computers which was his passion.

He leaves to mourn: one daughter, Ah'ziyah Lott; one son, Joshua Benson, both of Newark, New Jersey; four loving brothers, (his twin brother whom he shared a very special bond), Dwayne Staton of Newark, New Jersey; Gonzales L. Johnson of Fredericksburg, VA; Theodore L. Staton (Adrienne) of Scranton, PA; Anthony L. Staton (Laverne) of Richmond, VA; three loving sisters, Theresa A. Taylor of Long Branch, NJ; Jeanette Reed (Greg) of Petersburg, VA; Lynette Staton-Harvey of Petersburg, VA; and father, Theodore Staton of Portsmouth, VA; one aunt, Edna Earl Jones of Dudley, NC, one great uncle, (Pete)James H. Lee (Johneita) of Clinton, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

WAYNE was predeceased by his loving mother, Mildred L. Staton-Shelton and his grandparents, LoRenes L. Johnson and George Johnson.

WAYNE's journey through this life is now complete "May the work he's done speak for him"
