BALLENTINE RITES HELD ON SATURDAY
Funeral services for George W. Ballentine, aged 54 years, well known lifetime resident of Hillsboro, were held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the charge of Rev. Nihizer at the home on North East street. Interment was made in the Hillsboro cemetery.
Mr. Ballentine's death followed a prolonged illness. He died at his home Thursday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock. Surviving him are the widow and his mother, Mrs. W.H. Ballentine, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. John Strain of South Lebanon, and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Ballentine was engaged in the hardware business in this city for 35 years, retiring from active business in 1937. He had a wide acquaintance throughout the county.
