Mrs. Eva R. (Mayo) Barton, 58 wife of Felix Barton of 7 Wyman Street, died Thursday morning in her home. She was born in New Bedford, daughter of Peter and Lydia (Bouret) Mayo. She lived in Worcester 40 years.
Besides her husband, at the time of her death, she left a son, Clayton F. Barton, a science instructor at a high school in Hamden, CT.; five brothers, Edward P. Mayo of Wilkinsonville, Arthur Mayo of Worcester, Joseph A. Mayo of Auburn, George H. Mayo of Springfield, and Frederick Mayo of Belchertown; two sisters, Louisa, wife of Henry Thibodeau, and Flora, wife of Clarence N. Lemoine, both of Worcester, and three grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday morning from McCrea-Murphy Funeral Home, 921 Main Street, with a solemn high mass at 9 in St. Peter's Church. Burial was in Notre Dame Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home were 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
