Charles Frank Fratto, Jr., 47, beloved husband, extraordinary father, loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away during an accident at his home Dec. 6, 1999.

Charlie was born March 30, 1952 to Charles Frank and Catherine (Kay) Sirianni Fratto in SLC, UT. He graduated in 1970 from Cyprus High School, where he was student body president. He attended the University of Utah and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He married Lynn Keating, his best friend and soul mate, on May 19, 1973. In 1976, he and his brother, Teach, founded Wallpaper Warehouse.Charlie was an amazing person who enjoyed life to the fullest, and in doing so, he touched the lives of everyone that knew him. Whether on vacation or just doing the simple tasks of everyday life, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. Even though Charlie's community and business commitments kept him extremely busy, he always made time to attend all of his children's activities.

Charlie was truly nostalgia buff. He loved old movies and music, especially Big Band, Jazz and Frank Sinatra. Charlie loved the old architecture of Salt Lake City. He also considered himself the ultimate tour guide; never missing an opportunity to relay the history of various buildings while walking through downtown.

Charlie was an active member of the Catholic Church. For the past six years, he served on the board of the Catholic Foundation, most recently as secretary/treasurer. He also chaired numerous events for St. Ambrose Parish, J.E. Cosgriff Memorial School and Judge Memorial Catholic High School.

He made significant contributions to his community through his volunteer work and involvement in various organizations. Charlie, with his family, donated his time as a volunteer for The Good Samaritan Program. He served on the board for the ARC of Salt Lake. Charlie was an active member of the Italian-American Civic League and the International Footprint Association, serving terms as president for both organizations. For 10 years he served in various offices for the Salt Lake chapter of the JayCees. Throughout his life he has received recognition and numerous awards from many organizations for his dedication and commitment.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; his two children, Kelli Kay and Dominic John; his mother, Kay; two sisters, Mary Fratto and JoLyn (Jerry) Fratto-Oyler; four brothers, Teach (Pat) Fratto, Paul (Mary) Fratto, Frank (Lisette) Fratto and Patrick (Kim) Fratto; his mother-in-law, Marcie Keating; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Charlie, Sr., father-in-law Pat Keating, his nephew, Ryan J. Fratto, and his grand-parents.

He will be remembered and loved forever.
