Monteagle resident and Warren County native, Edna Myrtle Adams, 83, died Friday in Heritage Manor after an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of the Smartt Station Church of God, she was the daughter of Jim Turner and Melvina Reeder Turner.

She is survived by her husband, Mercer L. Adams, Sr. of McMinnville; three daughters, Melba Jean Maggart of Lavergne; Shirley Ann McBride of Smyrna; Sandra Sue Howell of Weaver, Ala; four sons, Mercer Lee Adams, Jr. of Nashville; Charles Edwin, Thomas Clark and David Franklin Adams, all of McMinnville; two brothers, Charlie Price Turner of McMinnville; and John Loyd Turner of McMinnville; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at High's Chapel with Johnny Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
