Columbus Junction, Ia. Feb. 26 (special) J. Baker of Louisa co., died today of Brights disease, aged 72. He will be remembered as the victim of confidence men who early in 1889 purported to have bargained for his farm, along with his neighbors' and induced him to loan $2,500 to buy the other farms and would repay him shortly. He never fully recovered from the shock.
