Married to John Bankston on June 10, 1778, in Georgia. Daughter of Leslie and Drusilla Coates. She was born January 8, 1760 in Clarke County, Georgia. They had twelve children, all born in Georgia before the family came to Louisiana. If anyone has additional information about her parents, please let me know. Most have her father's name as Lesley or Leslie Coates. Some have said it was William Henry Coates. However, there is no proof for either. There is some connection between the Coates family and the Jacques family but I have not been able to correlate. One of her son's middle name is "Jacques".
