Ethel (Weimer) Atchison was born July 20, 1884, in Douglas County, Kansas, and passed away Dec 31, 1955, at the home of her son, Harold G Atchison.
She was married on March 2, 1904, to William Atchison who preceded her in death in 1922. To this union was born seven sons, two of whom, Walter and Merle, also preceded her in death.
Some of the organizations which claimed her active participation were the Royal Neighbors of America, the National Grange and the American Legion Auxilary.
Her main interest in life were her five sons who survive, Keith W Atchison of Texarkana, Texas, John H Atchison, Kansas City, Kansas, Harold G Atchison, Overbrook, M-Sgt. Robert H Atchison, USMC, Minneapolis, Minn., and Donald P Atchison, Santa Monica, California. Also surviving are three brothers, Guy B Weimer, Richland, Earl R Weimer, Kansas City, Mo., Floyd A Weimer, Sansalito, Calif.; by two sisters, Mrs L A Featherston, Overbrook; Mabel Weimer, Kanawha, Iowa; and by ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Overbrook Methodist Church Monday, January 2, with Rev William Ralphs conducting the service.
Music was furnished by Max Friesenm soloist, accompanied by Mrs Theron Bryson at the organ.
Casket bearers were Seldon Tucker, Arthur Skaggs, Willard Topping, Joe Maichel, Lyle Mellies, Hyluard Maichel. Interment was in Overbrook cemetery.
