BANCHIK, Gerald He came to Los Angeles in 1954 to be a partner in The Brooklyn Bagel Bakery where he invented the Pizza Bagel and an automated bagel machine. He retired in 1978. Gerald lived with his wife in Leisure Village, Camarillo for 34 years. Gerald was a leader in B'Nai Brith and started the non profit organization Showtyme to bring entertainment to shut ins in the community. An active tennis player and wonderful dancer who loved his friends, and life. He will be missed.
Beloved husband of Elsie; loving father of Madelyn (Bruce) Glickfeld, Robin Banchik, and Betty (Bruce) Trubo; adoring grandfather of Lindsey Glickfeld and Noah and Casey Trubo; devoted brother of Toby Glassberg.
