November 9, 1938 - July 15, 2013 Sheldon Abrams born November 9th, 1938 (the day of Kristallnacht) in Rhode Island, the son of Lillian and Irving Abrams, brother to Beverly and Marvin, died Monday, July 15, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, sons and grandchildren. Sheldon graduated from URI and was an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. Sheldon was a respected member of the community of Beverly Hills and Westwood for over 40 years and owner of Jeffrey Stevens Designs at the PDC.
Before running his own business, Sheldon was Vice President at Sinclair Paints and Standard Brands Paints. As a former board member of Sinai Temple and Vice President of The Westholme Condo Association, Sheldon enjoyed helping out wherever he was needed. Sheldon loved traveling and traveled to more than 50 different countries including Israel, China and Australia. He loved spending time with his three grandsons and working on the genealogy of his family.
Services will be held on July, 17th at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary at 12pm. In lieu of flowers/gifts donations should be made to Bet Tzedek Legal Services. Published in the Los Angeles Times on July 16, 2013
