Memorial services for Kenneth W. Abraham, 71, Cedar Rapids, a native of Montgomery County, Iowa are planned on a future date in Red Oak, Iowa. Nelson-Boyland Funeral Chapel, Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Abraham died Friday March 27, 1992 at his residence following an illness of one year and his body was cremated.
He was born December 15, 1920 in Montgomery County, Iowa to Charles and Delia Abraham and had lived in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City areas for the past 30 years. He was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Cedar Rapids. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 1134th Division, 168th Infantry, Co M and was a Prisoner of War in Germany for 26 months. He was a member of American Legion, VFW, and Cedar Rapids Shrine Club. Memorials are suggested to First Covenant Church in Red Oak, Iowa.
Survivors include two sisters, Vanderlyn Gerlich of Mercher Island, Washington, and Gladys Dedrickson of Red Oak, Iowa; one brother Clifford Abraham of Shenandoah, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
