Carol Johnson Adams, 50, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Gaston County on November 17, 1961, daughter of Ora Lee Lovingood and the late L.M. Johnson.
In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by her husband of 24 years, Christopher George Adams, daughter, Charlotte Louise Adams and son, Christopher George Adams II, all of the home. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Keith Melvin and Debbie Johnson of Belmont, sister and brother-in-law, Martha Sue and James Andrews of Bessemer City as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Dean Johnson.
Carol was a born again Christian and a member of Catawba Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and learning about God's word. She was devoted to her family and a dedicated volunteer at Gaston Christian School.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30pm, Tuesday at Catawba Heights Baptist Church. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday at the church with Pastor Raymond Johns, Jr. and Rev. Robbie Moore officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
