home on Friday alter a hardfought
battle with cancer. Her
loving husband,
family and special
friends,
Ken and Merril
Davy from Australia,
were by
her side. She
grew up in Lyncourt
and graduated
from North High School
in 1950 and married Lyle Ackerman
later that year. Edna
was predeceased by her parents.
Mary and Charles King;
her brother, Robert; and a sister,
Shirley. '
Edna Is survived by her husband
of 55 years, Lyle, and five
children: Cynthia Bangson
(Brad) of North Syracuse, Gail
Dorner (John) of Ohio, Kathy
Ackerman (Kim Hyde) of North
Syracuse, Keith Ackerman (Jeffrey
Wilson) of Liverpool and
Karen Barnes (Mark) of North
Syracuse; nine grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; and
her sisters, Mary Buck (Walter)
and Joyce Larkin, both of East
Syracuse.
Friends may visit with her
family from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday
at Newcomer Family Funeral
Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Services will be held 10
a.m. Tuesday in Immanuel Lutheran
Church, Rte. 31, Clay
