Isabelle (Harmon) Armstrong, 83, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Born July 19, 1930 in Chambersburg. She was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Sarah B. Young Harmon.

She was a graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. Following graduation, Isabelle was employed at the former M & H Chevrolet, Frank Gayman Chevrolet & Olds and Jennings Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Chambersburg, retiring in the 1990's. She was currently employed part-time at Jennings in Chambersburg and a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church. She taught for many years in the children's department.

She was active with the United Methodist Women. Isabelle's hobbies include baking, cooking and the companionship of her dog, Murphy. Her husband, R. Samuel Armstrong, whom she married July 22, 1950, preceded her in death on March 10, 2005.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee S. McBride of Chambersburg; her sister, Janet Young and husband Elmer of Chambersburg; sister-in-law, Margaret Harmon of Walnut Bottom, Pennsylvania; a brother-in-law, Arthur Murray of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
